Full Disclosure: This post contains an uncompensated referral. As with previous posts, I am sharing the services of a close friend without any guarantee of financial or material compensation.
You may recognize this still from my YouTube channel. About this time, two years ago, I had the privilege of meeting Dan Yockey, President and CEO of TAC-HUB, at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility in northwest Phoenix, Ariz.. Back then, he was demonstrating a new electronic target shooting system that he developed in house. Fortunately, I was able to catch up with Mr. Yockey to get an update on how TAC-HUB has been helping operators hone their skills.

For those who haven’t heard, TAC-HUB was born from an idea to revolutionize firearms training. After getting government contracts and learning more about the needs of state and federal firearms instructors, Mr. Yockey made a list of things they would like contained within one facility. While he is still building out some of his services, here is a short list of the groundbreaking features of the new facility designed with the expertise of TAC-HUB:
A pro shop that primarily sells local products
And why not? Most of the manufacturing for the TAC-HUB target shooting system was completed in Arizona. Our friend and fellow operator, Glen Stilson (fellow Arizonan from Independence Training), provides his expertise at the facility. It would only make sense that TAC-HUB would sell products from Arizona-based companies such as Wilderness Tactical, Warthog Holsters, OnPoint Steel Targets, RedWire Gear, M3 Tactical Knives, Overwatch Precision, and BMC Customs.Advancing classroom technology
”State of the Art,” is how Mr. Yockey describes his classroom improvements. Imagine an indoor simunition/Airsoft range spanning 2,800 sqft that is covered by high definition cameras that feed directly into two 70” monitors. Live, tactical feedback, and (my favorite) constructive criticism can be shared by students who are in “observe mode” while the rest of the team takes action.Uncommon, yet realistic structures
Training in optimal conditions is easy for any level operator. Given the training, anyone can dash from barrier to barrier, firing at bad guy targets contained in wooden frames. How many facilities can you think of that offer a 1,000 sqft indoor garage where simunitions and Airsoft can be fired from within a vehicle? What about two interior stairwells (and one exterior stairwell) that connect floors within the shoothouse? How about a total of three breachable doors on the second floor of the facility? These days, absent a vacant school or industrial complex, it’s difficult to find a readily available building that can be littered with simulated ammunition. Unless you want to spend your time in the heat picking up tiny BBs, that is…
Mr. Yockey has built in a series of other features that I’m quite sure will meet the specifications of your organization.
Most importantly, the interior is entirely air conditioned. Did you see the temperature today? Yeah, I thought so.
With team security in mind, a secure, gated parking facility is available. A team comradery room and locker room are also being perfected for immediate service.
How does one go about booking this massive facility for their own use, or perhaps, the use of one of their clients? My friends, it’s as easy and as American as delicious, warm, soft, gooey… sorry, got lost for a second… apple pie. Give my good friend Mr. Dan Yockey a shout using the link below. Let him know you were referred by the Tactical Plus Size Model. I’ll receive absolutely nothing in compensation, other than the joy of knowing that I connected a reader with an excellent source of practical education.
Interested in learning a little more about TAC-HUB before you contact Mr. Yockey? I understand. Check out the YouTube video I shot at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility just over two years ago. I used catchy music that I thought would certainly get me banned from YouTube.
